I don't even want to check the last time I updated–it's been so long.

My year of intensive studying is over, I passed the national exam for all the sixth year med students (and had to retake one of the tests twice), was ranked better than what I expected (and better than what I had done during the year) which allowed me to choose what specialty I'd do. After a lot of hesitation, I chose family medicine.

I've officially been an intern for a month now. I don't know how much I've progressed since, but I still feel like I know nothing. I'm working in the ER for six months, and luckily everyone there, from the doctors to the nurses and cleaning ladies are really nice. It's a good thing too because the ER is not a place I want to work at later on, but the internship is mandatory.

How has everyone else been?

comments

First of December, and first real snow day of the season! Best of all, I was stuck at home and still felt enough like a kid to be happy about it. The only thing is that we had to clear up the driveway twice today, because it snowed so much.

Everything should be back to normal tomorrow (sighh)…

In other news, I went to see Deathly Hallows this week end!

( Click here for spoilers and snow pictures )

comments

This is the third day I've had this cold, and I thought it was getting better, but that was too much to ask, wasn't it? I had a headache all afternoon, and I had class from six PM to ten PM, but only stayed for two hours.

On the bright side, I wasn't feeling too bad this morning, and this is my week in the biology labs. So today, I was in the parasitology lab, where I saw the bug that causes malaria, fungi and lots of other fun little stuff. The interns showing us around were really nice and spent a lot of time explaining. I can't wait for tomorrow (especially if it means my symptoms will get better).

I'm slowly catching up on the Reverse Challenge on Hawthorn & Vine, and there really are some amazing entries.

I hope everyone's feeling okay, and I'll be going to sleep now.

comments
